Leader in Me Lighthouse Schools
Within the education industry, many schools are highly regarded by reaching significant benchmarks. The Lighthouse certification is a standard set by Franklin Covey and is attainable by every Leader In Me School and is evidence that the school has achieved outstanding results in student and school outcomes. It takes a school an average of four to five years from the time they begin the Leader In Me process to attain a Lighthouse certification. Once certified, they maintain certification for two years before requiring a recertification. The Leader in Me method focuses on five core paradigms; Everyone can be a leader, Everyone has genius, Change starts with me, Educators empower students to lead their own learning, and Developing the whole person. Currently there are only 30 certified Lighthouse Schools in the state of Florida.
